Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. 3.Her ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. 4.For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. 20.I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the path of judgment: 21.That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures. 11.Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 13.Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man; 14.But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. |
