But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 9.If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 10.For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 31. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, if ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. |
